The Information Technology Academy (ITA) is a precollege program at UW–Madison that empowers high school students who are first-generation and/or low-income through technology exploration, leadership development, and college preparation. ITA equips students with the skills, resources, and support needed to become strong candidates for admission to the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Why support ITA?

Through year-round programming, summer camps, and academic coursework, ITA provides students with:

  • Meaningful college exposure and experiences
  • Hands-on exploration of technology and tech careers
  • Academic and social-emotional skill development
  • A supportive, community-centered learning environment

Your impact

Gifts to ITA directly support:

  • Hands-on learning materials and technology tools
  • Transportation to academic and enrichment activities
  • Career exploration and college readiness experiences

Every contribution — large or small — helps students build skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging in technology and higher education.
